Course Description
Decision analysis tools for economics and agribusiness; linear, nonlinear, integer programming; transportation, assignment, inventory, input-output models. Credit not granted for both EconS 407 and 507.
Learning Objectives
- Learn the theory and use of regional input-output (IO) analysis and fundamentals of linear programming (LP) with specific application to the Washington State economy.
- Understand the economic assumptions needed for proper application of IO and LP.
- Be operational for practical applications of both techniques.
