Course Overview

This class studies the role of money in the U.S. economic system. We will study financial institutions such as banks, pension funds, mutual funds, and insurance companies; and the role that these institutions play in the operation of the economy. We will also learn about the role the government plays in regulation and channeling overall economic activity.
